Lamine’s mother was a traditional healer specialising in “Tafukt n tazwart”, or Crystal Healing, an ancient practice that uses crystals and gemstones to foster healing and balance. She was particularly celebrated for her skill in using onyx to alleviate arthritis and rheumatic conditions, earning her widespread respect in her community.

Lamine shared a profound and unbreakable bond with his late mother. After her passing, he made it his mission to honour her memory by infusing her legacy into his art. Each piece he creates features healing stones, with onyx becoming a signature element in most of his designs, reflecting both his craft and his mother’s enduring influence.
